Is a visit to a Naturopathic Doctor covered by Alberta Health Care?

Currently, Naturopathic Medicine is not covered by Alberta Health Care or basic Blue Cross.  With any newer health practice, it takes time for all of Canada to have the same licensing and registering practices to make them uniform for everyone.  Third Party providers such as your Employer Benefits program may cover a portion of the Naturopathic visit.  Inquire to your plan directly as to the limits and benefits they are able to provide you.
